Prayers for a family friend, please..
Hey guys,
I'm asking for a favor and some prayers for a family friend of mine, James Otis. I've known James since I was roughly 11 or 12 (I'm 22 now), he's about the nicest sweetest kid you could ever meet.. unfortunately he was in a terrible accident the beginning of August and he's not doing too well.. so here's the full story..
On August 13th, James and his friends were out riding their 4wheelers setting up some deer stands ( I think that's what they're called). James is an avid hunter, he basically lives for it. It was him and another friend on their 4wheelers and one friend was following them in a F250 pickup; James had to stop suddenly and make a left hand turn and the person driving the pickup didn't have enough time to stop before he T-boned James' 4wheeler and James went flying off of his 4wheeler and went up onto the hood of the pickup truck and then rolled onto the pavement. He cracked his head open from front to back, but luckily there are no brain injuries (thank God). James has been at a local hospital in the ICU since that day.. so almost 2 months.. He has been on feeding tubes and trek (sp?) tubes for the past 3 weeks. He has recently been getting better, slowly but surely, & he has had visitors non-stop since the accident and his doctors finally had to tell him and the family that he couldn't have any more visitors until further notice, so James decided that he was going to flip the doctors off (typical-he's 15 haha) but still it gives us all hope that he's on the road to recovery.
Family and friends are putting together a benefit for him, nothing fancy just collecting cans and bottles and whatever money we receive from that we will give back to James and his family to help pay for all of his medical bills. So if you could, just throw in a little prayer for James! Thank youu!

When the way home seems so far away, take 'em out and hold them close.
Take a picture with your father, 'cause one day he'll be gone.
And don't forget to fill an old shoebox
