This Won't be Chris Young's First Time Attending the Grammys

CHRIS YOUNG will be headed to the Grammys in Los Angeles on February 13 with a Best Country Male Vocal Performance nod for "Gettin' You Home." It won't be his first time attending the ceremony though. Chris was actually selected to be in the Grammy Jazz Choir as a high school student and got to attend the show and perform on CBS's morning show. Chris says of the experience," I got to go and just be there and perform at the pre-party for the nominees, and you know, this year I'll be at the pre-party for the nominees. So, it's exciting." The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be handed out live on CBS on February 13th.

Chris explained:
THEY DO A GRAMMY JAZZ CHOIR EVERY YEAR, AND I WAS ONE OF LIKE SIX PEOPLE THAT WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT THEY PICKED TO DO IT, SO I WENT UP AND PLAYED THE CBS MORNING SHOW. IT'S SOMETHING I DON'T GET TO TALK ABOUT A LOT, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY DOING COUNTRY IT DOESN'T REALLY NECESSARILY RELATE DIRECTLY TO JAZZ, BUT YOU KNOW I GOT TO GO AND JUST BE THERE AND PERFORM AT THE PRE-PARTY FOR THE NOMINEES AND, YOU KNOW, THIS YEAR I'LL BE AT THE PRE-PARTY FOR THE NOMINEES. SO, IT'S EXCITING.

I read that somewhere before, about him doing the choir deal, at the grammys. That is so AWESOME, and I'm so ready to watch it! And, I hope he wins, he so deserves it. :)
