I already put a note up on Facebook with this and sent notifications to all my friends that I know listen to country music and even ones that don't. Plus the people at the radio station here that are my friends on facebook plus the morning show i sent a e-mail. I'm always trying to get them to play Chris and maybe having a release date and showing a duet with Willie is on there too will help make a decision to put it on the playlists throughout the day instead of just at night haha.

I guess this is a question for Miss Becky....The only other entertainer besides Chris that I've followed closely over the years and belong to his fan club has advanced ordering of his CDs/DVDs that allow them to be delivered to your door on (or around) the release date. Will that ever be an option for us? I also know that pre-orders on amazon are tracked and was thinking it would be great if we could pre-order some cd's there and create a "splash" prior to the actual release date...

Becky may have more specific details, but as far as I know the exact when/where/if hasn't been completely determined yet. My best guess is that yes, pre-orders will probably be available.

On the last album, you could pre-order (not just Fan Club members but anyone else too) and from one place they even had a deal that if you ordered 3 or more, then shipping was free. That has absolutely nothing to do with the upcoming release, but I'm just throwing it out there as my way of saying that my bet is on pre-orders being available!

In 2006 before the first CD was released we got to hear the songs on the CD on the internet. I think it was one song a week till we got to hear all the songs before the release. It only made me want more of the CD's. I have paid forward over 60 CD's and look forward to doing this again with the new CD! I think it was Sony that offered the buy 3 or more CD's and you get free shipping. I hope that is going to be available again this time!

If you buy them from a store, I don't think you will encounter any "counting" issues. To the best of my knowledge, it will simply show that store 123 sold X number of copies but I will post right away if I hear differently!

The online ordering however (also to the best of my knowledge) has restrictions on multiple copies in excess of nine being counted.

3 MORE SLEEPS!!! I just got home from WalMart and the manager told me that there is a third party vendor that supplies their CD's and that they won't know until the day before if they will have the CD and how many. WAHHHHHHHHHHH!!:_o:

Found some interesting info on how they determine sales the first week. If a store AND the CD is registered with SoundScan/Neilsen - all sales will be reported when your item is scanned for sale. And I found out when they gather this information. Instead of 7 days looks like we have 6 for in-store purchases since the CD won't be available in stores until Tuesday, so just buy an extra one to be sure! :D But the online sales WILL be counted, probably as first day sales!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!

Had a hard time finding Chris's cd near here. In Fond du lac, I bought the last copy at Best Buy. Target isn't carrying it there. Walmart had 8 copies left, I bought 2 there. I asked the guy working why Chris's great new cd isn't on the endcap with the other new releases. He said he knew but a "higherup authority" said not to. Seems like he had answered that question a few times today. My Mom called and said she couldn't find it at a Walmart near her, gonna check another one tomorrow. I have had different texts from fans today that they were having trouble finding it as well. Best Buy had the cd in a seperate country cd display behind the aisles of cds, and it was on the very bottom.

I am glad I got my one copy to keep though. :_applauso: Been playing it over and over! I am not sure yet who I am giving the other two cds to, but have a few ideas.

just love this cd! Pick up two copies at my local walmart. I hate this walmart....they never have anything out when you need it and of course Chris's cd was not out on the shelf and 4pm. So yesterday, I had to take an hour break from voting to run some errands.

I happened to drop in at Walmart and Best Buy which happen to be right next to each other in Chula Vista. (Let's not discuss the parking there:confused:)
Anyhoo, I went to Wally world first and saw that they had two copies left.

Next, it was on to Best Buy....they had 10 copies left. When I was there a few days ago, they had 18 copies with 2 sections labled for Chris in a prominant location:_applauso: So since then, they sold 8 copies....whoo-hooo!
I bought 4 more there:D

So, I am happy to report that 6 more copies of TMIWTB were SOLD yesterday in the South Bay of San Diego:okkiale:

I will return later into the new week, to pick up more....

Best Buy seems to have their act together more than Walmart! No offense to them, but every one I went to seemed clueless to new releases and country music artists. Best Buy here in San Diego had it going on. Even called me when the last shipment arrived:okkiale:
